Sectors: Aerospace, defence and space

Aerospace and defence digital marketing consultant

Paid media for aerospace, defence and space organisations with small, senior audiences, long buying cycles and a lot of people who need to sign things off.

Why work with me

I've spent 12 years in paid media, including running campaigns for a global aerospace and defence manufacturer across its defence and space, corporate and commercial airline audiences. I know how these organisations buy, how their approvals work, and what realistic success looks like when a contract takes years.

Three audiences, one brand

Most aerospace and defence companies are speaking to at least three groups at once. Defence and space buyers want capability and credibility. Commercial airline customers care about cost, reliability and service. Corporate audiences, including investors, policymakers, the public and future employees, care about reputation. Each needs its own targeting, message and measure of success, and all of it has to sit comfortably under one brand.

Space adds a fourth. Commercial space is drawing in new companies, investors and talent, and it's an area I'm actively building on.

How I work

1. Audit. I review what's running now, how it's measured, and who each campaign is really reaching.

2. Plan. We agree which audiences matter most, what each campaign is for, and how we'll judge it. The plan is built to fit your brand, legal and communications review.

3. Launch. Campaigns on LinkedIn, search and programmatic, targeted by role and organisation, live within 10 working days of sign-off.

4. Improve. Regular optimisation and reporting that leadership can read in five minutes.

Where to start

Building awareness in a new market or programme. Targeted LinkedIn and programmatic campaigns aimed at a defined list of organisations and roles.

Supporting recruitment for hard-to-fill roles. Paid social and search aimed at engineers and specialists, measured on applications that progress.

Improving what's already running. An audit of current campaigns, tracking and targeting, with a prioritised list of fixes.

FAQs

Can paid media work when sales cycles last years?

Yes, but its job changes. It supports reputation, relationships and recruitment, and keeps you visible while deals progress. I measure it on reach within your target organisations, engagement and pipeline influence, alongside any direct leads.

How do you target such small audiences?

Mainly through LinkedIn job title, seniority and company targeting, account lists, and tightly defined search. Broad reach is usually wasted in this sector.

Can you work within our approvals process?

Yes. I plan creative and campaign changes in batches so your brand, legal and communications teams review fewer, clearer items.

Do you work with space companies?

Yes. The audiences overlap heavily with aerospace and defence, and commercial space is a sector I'm actively building on.

What contract do you work on?

Monthly rolling. There's no fixed-term contract.
